LED Roadway Lighting Limited Announces CEATI Project

LED Roadway Lighting Limited (LRL) has announced a major collaboration project with CEATI International (Center for Energy Advancement through Technological Innovation). CEATI’s members include 44 utilities worldwide. LRL’s contract with CEATI includes research and the subsequent development of a Guideline Specification for LED Street and Roadway Fixtures that will be adopted by many utilities globally.

Earlier this year, LRL announced a major pilot program in the Province of Nova Scotia, which includes the deployment of 1,100 of LRL’s Satellite™ fixtures throughout communities in Nova Scotia. In January of this year, LRL announced a $4.2 million research, design and development program to provide wireless and wired control functionality for its range of street lighting products. This program will include dimming, switching, monitoring and networking of street lights as well as other devices.
