LED Roadway Lighting Ltd (LRL) is pleased to announce that the City of Maquoketa, Iowa has selected LRL’s Satellite™ Series fixtures. The installation consisted of approximately 570 Satellite Series fixtures, and replaced existing 150, 250, and 400 watt high-pressure sodium fixtures. The new LED fixtures were deployed in multiple locations throughout Maquoketa and the installation was completed in late February.
The installation of the 570 fixtures will provide annual savings in energy and maintenance of $36,243, or $724,860 over the 20 year design life of the fixtures. It is expected that the new SAT-48S and SAT-96M fixtures will provide energy savings of 67% versus the high pressure sodium fixtures previously installed.
In addition to the energy and maintenance cost savings, it is expected that the installation will result in a greenhouse gas (GHG) reduction of 5,275 tonnes over the life of the fixtures.
