The 10.5 acre lot can accommodate 900 cars and in the future may be expanded to 15 acres to accommodate 1100 cars.

As part of their pilot program, LRL has replaced a number of 250W (292 plug watts) HPS fixtures at the Halifax Stanfield International Airport. Substantial energy savings were obtained and the full cut-off, Dark Sky certified fixtures have provided very favourable in an airport setting because they decrease light pollution that can interfere with safe airplane navigation.
