Charles A. Cartmill, CET

Mr. Cartmill is a lifelong entrepreneur who started his first business in 1973, C.S.A. Enterprises Ltd., a technical sales and marketing company for lighting and industrial products. In 2002, he started C-Vision Ltd, an electronics manufacturing company based in Amherst, Nova Scotia. Later, he founded LED Roadway Lighting Ltd, was formerly its CEO and President, and is the majority shareholder. Mr. Cartmill was named Ernst & Young's Entrepreneur of the Year (Atlantic Region) in 2006 and in 2010 he was inducted into Atlantic Business Magazine's prestigious Top 50 CEO Hall of Fame.

Mr. Jacques is the co-founder, former Chief Executive Officer, and Board Chair of Jacques Whitford. One of the most recognized and accomplished professionals in the field of engineering, Mr. Jacques led Jacques Whitford through remarkable growth and in 2009, when the firm was acquired by Stantec, Jacques Whitford had over 1,700 professionals in 45 offices across Canada, the US, and internationally. Mr. Jacques has received numerous awards for his dedication and contribution to the engineering discipline and the community at large. In 2007, he was made an officer of the Order of Canada.

Mr. Frizzell was the President and Chief Executive Officer of The Shaw Group. He is also a Director of Heritage Gas, a member of the Board of Governors of Acadia University, and Governor of Junior Achievement (Mainland Nova Scotia). In 2008, 2009, and 2010; Mr. Frizzell was recognized as one of one of Atlantic Canada’s Top 50 CEOs by Atlantic Business Magazine.

David Pirie

David Pirie

Mr. Pirie has worked on major infrastructure projects in many countries and played a critical role in the financing and construction of the Confederation Bridge. Drawing on his expertise in infrastructure development, he has provided consulting services to all levels of government. Mr. Pirie is currently the President of Vercheres Investment Corp., a private investment company. Previously, Mr. Pirie was a practicing lawyer in the areas of commercial, securities, real estate development, and construction law.

David Hoffman

David Hoffman

Mr. Hoffman is CO/CEO of Oxford Frozen Foods and the Bragg Group of Companies, Director of all Group Companies, and member of the Company/Family Advisory Board. The CO/CEO role involves both the operational and strategic, as well as responsibility for major financing and M&A activities. Mr. Hoffman moved to Canada after qualifying as CA in England, and worked for six years with KPMG in Halifax. He joined Highliner Foods as Controller of Canadian Operations and then as Corporate Controller. In 1993 he moved to Oxford Frozen Foods as Treasurer and Chief Financial Officer for the Bragg Group of Companies and approximately 15 years ago was appointed Group CO/CEO.

Mr. Forcier is Partner at Cycle Capital Management. He began his career at BCE Inc. in treasury management which led him to roles in Alliances, Venture and Acquisitions and BCE's Venture Capital Fund which resulted in attractive returns through a trade sale and an IPO. After working in the Telesystem Group of companies on the fundraising side and for TIW, Ben moved to the East Coast to join Innovacorp where he played an active role as part of the leadership team as Vice President Investment. More recently, Ben was a partner at Espresso Capital and has been working with Technology-based companies in northeastern North America.

John F. Sencich

John F. Sencich

A seasoned executive with 35 plus years of experience in the electrical industry, John has been involved in many aspects of running businesses both locally and globally. He started his career learning the ins/outs of manufacturing with an aircraft manufacturer in the Toronto area. The early part of his career focussed on marketing and sales with increasing responsibilities leading to broader management roles encompassing entire businesses with manufacturing operations in Toronto, Montreal and Sydney Australia. John is currently Executive Vice President and General Manager of the Electrification Products Division of ABB in Canada. ABB is one of the leading electrical manufacturers both in Canada and globally. Throughout his entire career, John has been active in numerous industry committees and associations assuming the leadership of several.
