Environmental Benefits

Efficiency - Energy savings of 50-80% can be realized by adopting the Satellite LED street light, while still meeting international roadway guidelines ( IES , CIE, BSI ). The Satellite is extremely efficient, and boasts an industry leading total fixture efficacy of lumens per watt. The Satellite Series also saves additional energy through its optical efficiency, by distributing light only in areas where it is needed – on the roadways and sidewalks.

Materials – The Satellite Series LED street light is lead-free and mercury-free, meeting RoHS guidelines. A portion of the aluminum housing is also recycled aluminum.

Dark Sky - The Satellite has been certified by the International Dark-Sky Association (IDA) to eliminate light pollution - the unnecessary illumination of the sky.

Recyclable - The LRL product includes a modular approach to design that allows for inclusion of new generation higher-efficiency LEDs without re-design that can increase energy savings as LED technology improves in efficacy.

LRL’s fixture has been designed to comply with an end-of-life (recyclable) program to follow the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive, and recycling of old technology products is available in many markets.
