As part of their pilot program, LRL has replaced a number of 250W (292 plug watts) HPS fixtures at the Halifax Stanfield International Airport. Substantial energy savings were obtained and the full cut-off, Dark Sky certified fixtures have provided very favourable in an airport setting because they decrease light pollution that can interfere with safe airplane navigation.

Bei dieser Gewerbeparkplatzanwendung wurde die vorhandene 465 Plug Watt (400W) HPS-Beleuchtung auf Satellite™ 96-525mA (173 Plug Watt) Beleuchtungen umgestellt. Im Endergebnis dieser Umstellung waren eine bessere Beleuchtung und gleichmäßigere Lichtverteilung zu verzeichnen, bei gleichzeitiger wesentlicher Stromeinsparung im Vergleich zur bisherigen Beleuchtung. Die Montagehöhe beträgt bei dieser Anwendung 50 Fuß/15,2 Meter.
